$1.75 Million Settlement in Medical Malpractice Lawsuit Against Illinois Hospital
September 7, 2006 - A local hospital settled a case involving injury to a then 14-year old girl. Following bilateral knock-knee surgery, the hospital replaced a lower leg cast. Post-operatively, our client complained of signs and symptoms compatible with compartment syndrome, which were not promptly treated. Our client was discharged home only to return to the hospital 5 days later. Subsequently, the lower leg cast was removed revealing damage to the skin and tendons of our client's right foot and ankle.
