Joshua L. Weisberg is a trial lawyer whose practice is dedicated exclusively to representing victims and their families in personal injury and wrongful death cases including lawsuits arising out of airplane crashes, semi truck and motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, work injury and construction accidents and product liability.
Mr. Weisberg has recovered millions of dollars for his clients through verdicts and settlements. Mr. Weisberg’s last four trial verdicts include a $2.25 million verdict in favor of the estate of a 76 year old man killed in an auto collision, a $2 million verdict in a personal injury case involving a factory worker injured by a defective press, a $2 million jury verdict in a wrongful death case arising out of a personal watercraft accident in Rockford, Illinois, and a $1.55 million jury verdict in a personal injury case against a semi truck operator in Adams County, Wisconsin. Mr. Weisberg also negotiated a $1,000,000 settlement for a worker seriously injured after falling from a second story roof while working on a construction project in Mount Prospect, Illinois.
Mr. Weisberg has also had tremendous success in the state and federal appellate courts. Most recently Mr. Weisberg briefed, argued, and won a major legal battle on behalf of victims of defective medical devices in the United States Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit. The case was featured in the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin.
Mr. Weisberg has been named one of Illinois' Top 40 Under 40 by The National Trial Lawyers. Mr. Weisberg has also been selected as a Rising Star in Illinois by Super Lawyers, an honor reserved for no more than 2.5 percent of the attorneys in the state of Illinois. He is also actively involved in community service, serving as Co-Chair of Mentoring and Law Student Relations on the Executive Committee of the Young Lawyers’ Group for the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago, and a member of the Young Leaders Board for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.
Mr. Weisberg graduated from the University Of Illinois College Of Law, Magna Cum Laude. Prior to graduating, the College of Law awarded Mr. Weisberg the prestigious Rickert Award for Excellence in Oral Advocacy. He was also named "Best Overall" in the College of Law's Frederick Green Moot Court Competition, and he was a regional champion and national finalist in the National Moot Court Competition.
Mr. Weisberg lives in Evanston with his wife Erin and his daughter Lucy.
